Young batida prodigy Deejay Veiga gives his unique vision of "Kirikou". Peruvian producers Tribilin Sound and Vudufa see their story delve into the heart of the Lisbon ghetto! Veiga made a name for himself in the batida, afro-tech and 3-step scene, releasing albums and EPs on labels like Principe or Love in the Endz. Earlier this year, Tribilin Sound and Vudufa have teamed up to present their new EP “Kirikou”, released under the French label El Chiguiro Verde, the afro and latin house subdivision of Chiguiro Records. This project promises to take listeners on a unique sonic journey, inspired by the mythical African legend of “Kirikou et la Sorcière”. The legend of Kirikou tells the story of a remarkable child born with incredible abilities and extraordinary bravery. From birth, Kirikou can speak and demonstrate surprising qualities for his age and size. Throughout the tale, the young hero faces the feared Karaba, a powerful witch who rules over a village in the heart of Africa, making him a symbol of struggle, courage, and determination. "KIRIKOU" is more than just an EP. It’s an invitation to explore the magic of Afrohouse music through the unique perspective and style of two of Perus most promising producers. With this release, Tribilin Sound and Vudufa continue to cement their place in the global scene, taking their sound to new heights.
