After a brief hiatus, LDLDN returns on his Natural Frequency imprint with an EP built for dancefloors and beyond.

'Being Honest' is about playing music that reminds you who you are. Play the stuff you feel and share what you love. Detroit-influenced chord stabs, those usual tight drums and a rib-rattling bassline make this an upfront piece of electronic niceness.

The EP comes with a 'Cassette Dub' version that takes the pace down a bit, but injects a saturated, fuzzy, dubbed-out character to the original.

LDLDN is joined by rising star and South London's finest, Joe Milli (Faux Poly, Rinse FM) on remix duties. Joe takes 'Being Honest' and gives it a rawer edge, with tight drum licks syncopated with bass stabs and euphoric pads. A truly heavy reinterpretation that also comes with a dub version.

The EP is rounded off by "I Only Deal in Facts", rolling with the theme of being truthful, upfront, real. Acid-ish, analog drums that skip & ride, those trademark LDLDN deep keys and sub-bass for days. Fact.

PS: For the people who sometimes ask - the geeks, the dweebs like me, the kit list on this record is: Sequential Prophet 5, Oberheim Teo-5, Roland TR8S, Erica Synths Perkons, Roland JX08, Elektron Analog Heat +FX, a bunch of other random shit and all thru an SSL Big Six mixer. Ableton, plugins yadda yadda. BTW I don't still own all this stuff, it's a constant merry-go-round of selling and buying. Tragic.
