After Girls of the Internet booked Athens of the North for their House of the Internet club night at The Cause over Christmas, the idea of a collaborative 12' was floated over a pizza and some booze - and it just so happened that AOTN had the original stems for their recently re-issued spiritual disco track 'Waiting In The Wings' by Marion Javius that GOTI had been DJing a private edit of!

In a time where most samples are replayed instead of licensed, and original copyright owners don't get the full credit they deserve, it's a rare treat officially clear a sample. Marion Javius is a mysterious figure in the funk and disco crate-digging scene - having released the sought-after disco track 'Waiting In The Wings' in 1978 that this record samples, her voice can also be found on a couple of rare funk 7's as Marion Jarvis from the early 70's. Nobody knows much more beyond her rare appearances on some rare wax.

Girls of the Internet loop up different sections of the chorus, add their signature samplers and live bass, and 'Someone, Somewhere' is born! 'It was a real treat to get hold of the original multi-track recordings of this classic track, and something I have never had the chance to do before' said Tom from Girls of the Internet, 'I hope we did the original justice with our new flip!'
