Eitan Reiter advances his exploratory sound through his boundary-pushing label
Impulse. The fifth release, X-Vision, features rising artist Echo, whose recent
collaborations cements her as an artist to watch.
This release reflects a deliberate shift toward the intersection of Indie dance and
electronic body music, balancing sharp production with a distinct vocal presence.
The track channels visual and sonic cues from 1990s aesthetics—an era that
continues to shape contemporary fashion, design, and audio culture. X-Vision builds
on that foundation, merging mechanical rhythm structures with textured synth layers
and Echo's stylized vocal delivery. Her performance moves fluidly between raw
expression and spoken word, while vocoder-filtered harmonies and modulated voice
samples lend the piece a synthetic edge.
The release includes two versions of X-Vision, each offering a distinct entry point
into its sound world. The vocal version foregrounds Echo's lyrical delivery, structured
around rhythmically anchored verses and refrains. In contrast, the second cut strips
the track down to its instrumental core, emphasizing the production details to emerge
more clearly—synth arpeggios, processed laughter, fragmented phrases—
transforming the piece into a more exploratory, hypnotic experience.
Both versions complement each other as two sides of the same vision—one
vocal and immediate, the second internal and atmospheric. Together, they highlight
their commitment to releasing music that resists easy classification while
maintaining the purpose of the label Impulse.
