Redstone Press
Release Date: 25th April 2025
Redstone Press reaches its 13th release with a striking new EP from EMÆNUEL, an artist known for his precise yet unconventional approach to club music. This latest offering is a sharp, dynamic blend of intricate drum work and vast sonic depth—where rhythm drives forward, and space pulls you in.
Pushing the label’s signature sound into new territory, EMÆNUEL balances raw energy with detail, offering both movement and atmosphere. A fitting addition to Redstone Press’s growing catalog, this release stands as a statement of intent—distinctive, immersive, and, as always, built for sound systems. Adding another dimension to the release, Kelman Duran delivers a powerful remix, stretching further EMÆNUEL’s sound.
A proper head-spinner, ‘Sudden Splits’ locks into a mesmeric loop of alluring synths, cavernous 808 thumps, and reverb-drowned snares, while scorched, twisting chords and writhing atmospherics tangle and unravel over propulsive beatwork.
On ‘Skin Face’ EMÆNUEL sets the tone with stark drum hits and subterranean bass pulses before opening into cavernous waves of cascading synths which slowly meander and drift in unpredictable motion.
‘Silver Spring' stitches together disembodied vocal loops, otherworldly synth washes, and cold dancehall pressure, all underpinned by echo-soaked, distorted drum machine hits.
Kelman Duran’s rework dials up the voltage on ‘Sudden Splits’, enveloping it in crackling electrical ambience and flickering morse code blips that pierce the ether. Toughened percussion and sub-heavy bass push it into murkier territory before calming pads drift in like a parting fog.
