Originally from France, MAGLIA’s roots as a teenage b-boy and his immersion in dance and hip-hop culture drew him to turntablism in the early 2000s. Moving to the UK, he secured residencies at London clubs and performed globally, establishing himself as a versatile performer and discerning selector.

As Lodee Gruv, MAGLIA has released three EPs on his label, Bordel Ensemble, distributed by Syncrophone (Paris). His debut as MAGLIA appeared on a Reculture London compilation, followed by releases on labels like Anemos Dance, Rebelion, and Crosstown Rebel. Recent successes include ‘U BE MINE’ on Anemos Dance and ‘Barba’ on Africanism.

In recent years, MAGLIA has focused on his Mykonos venue, Moni, where he performs and produces, while founding the collective Few Good DJs with MĪMĪ x FY. Recent highlights include his residency in the Club Room at Hi Ibiza.

Following hot on the heels of his standout release YOU BE MINE, French artist Maglia is back with a first release on Maera Music. Habibi blends ethnic tones with his signature understated rhythms.
