London's James Lee follows-up his Operator-approved "You Hear Me Girl?" with another turbo-charged house groove. This time he heads to New York City and teams up with DJ producer Thando and vocalist Charlé for a classy spoken word journey into big room electronics. "Take me back to a time when there were no phones on the dancefloor," entones Charlé, echoing a popular sentiment in clubland right now. But while Charlé pleads for a return to the carefree, hedonistic clubbing of the 90s, Thando and Lee are very much rooted in 2024 with a groove that has destroyed the huge dancefloor at Lee's Roast party and would be a perfect accompaniment to productions by Noizu, Deeper Purpose and Biscits. It's a banger.
