The 40th Saturo Sounds releases is incoming and it's a very special one as we see the return of Burned Fruitcake with his Places EP. As was the case with his previous 2 EPs, Burned Fruitcake crafts 2 thoughtful records with another concept of duality. In his own words: "The tracks for this EP are a mixture of yin and yang, hard and soft, light and shadow etc. The idea of interaction between opposites and their harmony as a result is always my intention when making music. My goal is to provoke emotions, to give the listener a moment to remember (or forget?), on the dance floor or in the solitary behind the headphones. As I'm strongly influenced by teachings of Alan Watts there's a Joker lurking from within. Trying to go with "life is a game ", I tend to sprinkle some funnies every now and then. Per example, this EP and tracks were given names from one of my favourite movies. Not going to reveal it all for you, and leave something up to the imagination. You might like what you find. We hope you enjoy the EP and remember not to take life too seriously; stop for a moment and smell the flowers, or check out those clouds. Or just smile to a funny thought, what do I know?"
