Kintsugi is the japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, silver or platinum and making broken items more beautiful and valuable than before by piecing it back together with patience, hard work and craftsmanship.
Soundwise this might arguably be my most refined sound design effort yet and appear to be my darkest EP so far, but in reality this is the exact opposite and a stoic statement of hope that trauma can be healed, tough times can be worked through and dark times will always end at some point leaving behind a refined essence and structure that can be used to build something dramatically better than before.
These tracks are the gold that glued the pieces back together and sealed the scars for me, maybe they work for you too.
