Kevin McKay's first release on his label was in December 1994. As we approach this 30th anniversary, Kevin has begun digging in the archives and creating reworks for a special album release next year. First for the reboot is Kevin and Andy Carrick's 1995 classic "Voodoo Rhythm". Kevin named the track after The Voodoo Rooms, a legendary club created by Glasgow's version of Ian Schrager, Colin Barr. Kevin was the resident DJ there from 1993 to 1996 when the club hosted stars like Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia and DJ Pierre. Released at the peak of M1-fuelled 90s house music, this stripped-back banger was hammered by DJs like Funk D'Void and Deep Dish. For this new 2024 version, Kevin has recreated the original parts and wrapped them up in a groove that sits next to the best of Chris Stussy, Prunk and Kolter.
