Eitan Reiter continues his thoughtful musical journey with his label, ESC. The second release features a chill-out live session with renowned keyboardist Sharon Mansur.
Mansur, a classically trained pianist, composer, and producer, began her classical music journey at eight. She never confined herself to a single genre, instead experimenting with world music, rock, funk, and electronic music. Her impressive discography includes four solo piano albums and one quartet album.
This live session, recorded in a cozy living room rather than a massive studio, allowed the musicians to perform with a relaxed, pressure-free vibe. The half-hour session consists of five tracks: "If I Can," "Lullaby," "My Window," "Just Say It," and the closing piece "Underwater." These tracks conceptually fuse electronica and classical music, with Sharon playing lead piano and additional synthesizers, while Eitan handles sequencers, drum machines, audio controllers, space effects, and the mixing board.
In an era where algorithms often replace skilled musicians, Reiter and Mansur deliver a rare and extraordinary performance. Their simple yet not pretentious work transcends time with its classical melodic qualities and futuristic sound design.
