Stockport based label Open Tapes compiles their first Various Artist milestone, calling upon friends and family from the surrounding boroughs of Manchester and kindred spirits from further a field to add to the HEAP.
The compilation skirts around dub techno inflicted bass music styles with tracks like Cleland from Glaswegian's Mother and OVDUB4 from the label's own Ovid.
Alongside angular club offerings, Alan Johnson's Masterna and Hannibal Rex's Fading Bells you find unease and solice in equal measure on cut-and-paste ethearic tracks by Bianca Scout, Florian T M Zeisig and a big beat Mapahi remix being thrown into the fire by label head Jack Lever.
