This year 2024 we celebrate the solo arrival of Julio Nexus and the launch of Genesis Music with a first EP of great atemporal electronic music. Julio is a true standard of the Spanish scene who continues to leave an indelible mark since his distant beginnings in the late eighties as part of Megabeat. “Vega” and “Alobaboba” are two new tracks by the Valencian composer who they serve to connect with the younger audience that burns every weekend the dance floors. “Vega” opens the EP with a certain nineties touch and a powerful bass. In the broken rhythm we listen classic synthesizers, great pads, as well as guitars over morse code. A song that brings together perfectly the past of Julio with the present of electronica and avantgarde. “Alobaboba”, meanwhile, features more marked percussion, again incorporating guitars and bass that remind us of The Chemical Brothers or UNKLE. The voices are presented playing with their own reverse in a song that also connects very well with several generations, as we check a certain influence from the legendary German band NEU!. For its part, Finalversion3, presents a signature remix that will not leave indifferent to anyone. The Valencian artist experiments with the rhythmic part of the theme taking it to a new level. With a new bass, even more powerful than the original, and new background melodies, the piece immerses us in a more even dreamier stage. One of those tracks to close your eyes on the dance floor. Much attention to the madness of the drop in tempo, which together with the new powerful percussions, we can reach ecstasy. Last but not least, the Nyespla remix focuses on the dance floor adding a devastating bass drum to “Alobaboba”. With a perfect intro to start the more eclectic sets, it is a very good business card for what this new Valencian band is and will be that will give a lot to talk about.
