Bay Area raised Sueuga (Manolis Elijah Sueuga) + Only Now (Kush Arora) deliver metallic dancehall shelling on "Cold Front". Hollowed out soundsystem blasts pepper this 2 track outing, fit for San Francisco's pronounced dystopian locale.
The title track splices electrical discharges with robotic tabla bashment, eventually folding in on itself with pressure.
"Blood Freeze" lays out an icy riddim machinating into widescreen shockout, with crunching bursts and shutters flying on all sides. Throughout both tracks, Sueuga and Arora's heritage can be felt through the groove and instrumentation, reimagining sounds of the artists' homelands.
Born of a friendship formed years ago, "Cold Front" is the duo's first original collaborative effort. Since Only Now remixed a track of Sueuga's in 2021, the two have maintained a close relationship as Sueuga studied Art History and moved to Amsterdam, whilst Arora stayed in Berkeley.
