Colombian progressive house maestro Kamilo Sanclemente makes his sixth appearance on Plattenbank, continuing his intellectual and boundary-pushing exploration of the genre. Hailing from Cali, Sanclemente consistently ventures into uncharted sonic territories. This release also marks the debut of Sebastian Valencia on the Munich-based label, showcasing the labels dedication to fresh talent. Unlike many producers who hoard the spotlight, Sanclemente frequently collaborates, spotlighting colleagues with exceptional skills. This three-track release spans over 22 minutes, meeting high-quality standards while surpassing expectations in creativity. The EP opens with "Holograph," a track that gradually builds into an epic narrative using synthesizer sounds and hypnotic beats, culminating in a third act. The second track, "Emptyless," defies its title by filling every second with quirky soundscapes and even more psychedelic effects, synthesizer themes, and thought-provoking vocal narration. Closing the release is "Pretend," a deep progressive track enhanced by motivating female vocals that advocate for relentless forward momentum. This message resonates with both the Colombian duo and the label itself.
