Labour Jacks is a new sublabel of One Eyed Jacks focusing more on techno and club tools, with artworks based on found, accidental art created by labour. The first few releases will showcase glue patterns found in ripped off plaques, where the gesture of the glue application by workers can be quite beautiful and graceful, even if unintentionally.

The first release comes from label-owner himself Photonz, a mainstay of the Lisbon scene and a prolific artisan of weird bangers and genre-hopping, left-of-centre underground dance music. On “Dark Valley”, this seasoned Portuguese producer focuses on raw techno rollers that manage to incorporate influences as wide as 90’s UK techno, aquatic Detroit melodies and even some orchestral grime hooks to good measure.
