Potential Energy marks an impressive label debut from London-based producer, and former Brighton music student, Delano. Although relatively new on the block, his productions uphold a sense of maturity and complexity, evidenced by recent support on BBC Radio 1, 6Music, and Boiler Room.

Comprised of 4 original tracks the EP stays true to its namesake; conjuring future rave fantasies that play on the build and release of tension, encapsulated by elements of trance euphoria, progressive techno and explosive bass & breaks.

Re-imaginings of ‘Close 2 U’ - from fellow label mate Debba and Keep Hush’s scg - bring things to a slower, stripped back focus, rounding off the release on two distinct chug and acid tides.

“I’m always on the hunt for old records” Delano explains, “but for this project I wanted to do the opposite, try to create sounds that spark ideas of what the clubs of the future could sound like”.

Dancefloor moments and community have also played a major role in shaping the EP: “I think the majority of my inspiration comes from the people around me. I’m lucky to be surrounded by a lot of very talented creators who share the same goals and ideals".
