In 2019 Juan returned from a trip to Cuba, where he assisted recording sessions with some of the island's best players for a project composed and produced by Latin Grammy Winner, Juancho Valencia. On his return he began recording and composing at dBs Bristol studios with Bristol based musicians and guidance from Cuban singer and songwriter Indira Roman.

Juan.S.C returns with an ode to Cuba alongside Cuban singer, Indira Roman. A washy wah-guitar and filtered trumpet sit smoothly over traditional cuban percussion, and a thick double bass. The song paints a bittersweet image of walking broken hearted through the streets of Havana. Indira's soft yet powerful voice, leads you through the song while opening up about her 'Desencanto' with poetic lyrics in spanish.

Juan's role as the recording engineer and producer was to guide players and capture the magical moments in the studio in order to later collage them into the instrumental. The project leaned heavily on the musician's knowledge of latin music and relied on Indira's guidance to approximate the track to authenticity, although the track was never meant to be anything other than a melting pot between Bristol and Havana.
