Boogie Basics reaches back out to the southern coast of Italy for their 2013 WMC Sampler. Italian duo Funk Mediterraneo, Alex Augello and Daniele Cianicimino bring the disco funk to this latest release, just in time to move the Miami masses! With previous releases on the likes of Blockhead, Hub City, Phobic, and Boogie Basics they have all become established names in the deep and jackin' house scenes. Here they present four original mixes that each bring their individual style and sound to the package.
First up is Alex Augello with 'Another Love', this is disco house at its finest! With a steady vocal and consistent bass line, this one will get the dance floor moving.
On the second track, Alex Augello teams up with Daniele Ciancimino for their 'Divine Dolls' mix. The vocal 'Let's see what happens when we mix these two elements together' says it all in this one, pure disco funk is what happens! We hope to see more out of this team in the future.
The last two tracks on the album come courtesy of the Funk Mediterraneo duo. 'Rhythm N Brush' takes you on a journey, with its deep segments followed by a jackin' bass line and classic horn elements. To round out the EP, Funk Med brings the late night big room vibe with 'My Legend'. Its hypnotic synth and steady build up is sure to enchant the crowd.
