It started off as an idea born of inspiration from my love Alexis. It was a song, an instrumental to reflect how I saw her move about the world. I created a track and was happy. I basically taught myself how to use the software, by trial and error. The bones were good and needed a professional finish, I learned after having a few people in the business listen to it. Problem was, I never fully learned how to produce the track. Many friends offered advice and suggestions, however, I just didn't know enough on the production side to make it happen. This was very specific because the software I used is also not commonly used and therefore finding someone with that expertise took some searching. Then, as luck would have it, I met Ian Phillips at Decompression in 2019. He came and introduced himself to me after my set. I then had the opportunity to work with him at the Virtual burn in 2020. He's a very talented DJ and Producer by the way. We became friends and started talking music. I told him about this track and how I was looking for some help on producing, arranging, etc. I am not sure if he volunteered or if I drafted him for the job however either way he agreed to work on the project. I was thrilled. We've spent the last months collaborating on this project and I am pleased to say, we're just about ready to release this baby!
So huge thanks to Ian for his talent and patience and agreeing to this project. None of this would be possible without the inspiration of the love of my life, Alexis. She is the sun, moon and stars to me. I am very grateful and fortunate to have her in my life.
