Rotterdam's GLXY Recs, run by Black Cadmium, presents 'Deindividuation,' an EP that delves into the blurred boundaries between anonymity and accountability in our digital era. It's a first production by Hive Mind presenting a tight group of Rotterdam techno icons. Both Hive Mind and Frame Six have been active since the 90s in the underground Rotterdam techno scene getting their fix from soundsystem raves and early Club Nighttown nights.
In the current digital landscape, individuals hesitate to openly share their genuine beliefs, gripped by the fear of public shaming and cancellation. Instead, they align themselves with certain groups while casting judgment on others. 'Deindividuation' probes the fragility of our individuality amidst the fear surrounding open expression. It's a reflection on the pervasive apprehension in a world where groups of faceless individuals clash with others, quick to pass judgment. This EP doesn't seek to assign blame but rather invites introspection. It serves as a mirror to our evolving society, where safeguarding individuality in our globally connected world holds utmost importance. In the form of six excellent techno trips 'Deindividuation' is a strong effort to get back to the pure rawness and the essence of techno and nightlife.
