Experimental Records or EX Records was founded in 1991 and is recognised as New York's first Techno record company. Experimental was launched by Northcott Productions who originally hired Damon Wild as A+R in New York plus Tim Taylor running the EX UK operation from London.

Artists that appeared on EX during it's 91-96 duration included Damon Wild, Joey Beltram, Cari Lekebusch, Tim Taylor, Freddy Fresh, Tommy Musto, Dennis Ferrer, Woody McBride, Nigel Richards, Bryan Zentz, Michael Miguel, Ray Love and Jack D. Elliot.
