After more than five years long hiatus filled with formation into the band, creative crisis, and rebuilding their studio in Prague's old industrial area not far from the city center..., hardware electronics driven project Tanyny regrouped with drummer and guitarist, and fueled by inspiration from each other...
They can all be seen before in the videoclip of live version for the track "Night" from the previous Cabin EP, and only "Navy Blue" reminds sound of that release, but significant evolution can be heard in this overall. Material recorded just in the band simply needs its time...
Energy, brougth in by and within the members, present in the foreshadowing single "Layla" (means "night" in Hebrew), is culminating and erupting on the album in tension and swarming salvo of "Crows", and it's where the band breaks free from the chain.
Soundtrackish, synthesizers led "Pulsar" - diptych-tracker the LP is titled after - especially run on Moog synths, seems influenced by wave of "post-"french-touch electronic acts, but with evidently metal/hardcore attitude at once... while the closing "Artificial Love" draws and weaves inspiration from Tanyny's omnipresent futu-retro aesthetics.
