Album Only
KPT012 | 2023-04-21
NDT's sophomore album already teased back in July 2022 is finally released in full form and it goes by the name of Subtempo, which aims to translate, below time.

As it's been characteristic in previous works, analog synthesizers, guitars, drums, drum machines, vocals and effects now go way deeper, polished and more experimental than ever before, it cannot only be seen in tempo which can range from 85 to 125, but in harmonies and melodies which expands this duo into the realm of bands and establish them as artists in the sense of expression in a full spectrum.

Atmospheres are all over the place (like in space) and can go from the calm of 'Over Antares', passing to the cinematic odyssey of 'Stellar Project', and way beyond into the driven desert storm in the shamanic trance of 'Nocturno'

The dancefloor palette expands with dissonant repetition on 'Super Cluster' while vibing and passing on the low end rumble of 'Megavoid' as a reverberated rave anthem, and in the poetic explosion dance of a super nova in 'Passing nova'.

The inner consciousness of the now leather spaceman becomes developed throughout the album and gives space for reflexion being not only thoughtful, but spiritual in tracks such as Nocturnal, Silver Lipstick and even in the weird shaped 'Hypnotic Rave'.

There is no doubt the duo have gone far beyond themselves just to check if they could become a greater consciousness just like the disintegration subject of this album which now resonates big with the cosmos after all the pulsating noises, circular arpeggios and chord beauty which enhances the story without leaving the bad ass attitude.

Good trip.
