Born in the little village of Yutz in the East part of France, Maytra quickly moved to Paris when his hometown was getting to narrow and inspiring for his own good. While studying in Colombia in 2018, he bought his first piece of equipment and translated his nostalgia from home into deep house sonorities.

In 2019 he spent two years in Paris working as a booking agent. He discovered a new world in the French Capital and experienced his first dancefloor parties and boogie nights.

After his Parisian experience, Maytra moved to Berlin. He was intrigued by this City and the environment and its various aspects. He discovered a new approach to music and club culture, hanging out with producers' friends like Cody Currie, Ziggy Zeitgeist, Jasper Sala...
'The Wind Rises Late' is Maytra's second solo project, coming right after his debut EP on the French label 'La Mamie's'.

Releasing this ep on Visions for him is very symbolic, simply because his inspiration comes also from names like Hanna, Peven Everett, Alex and Stephane Attias. The result from the musical work is a 3 tracks EP which refers to Maytra's love for Detroit and New York house music. A vibrant, nostalgic odyssey.
