Stemi aka Italian DJ and producer Stefano Minturnino makes a welcome return to Piston Recordings with the fabulous… ‘Fabulous’. Stemi is no stranger to Piston, his last effort, alongside Marc Noble on their ‘Collab EP’ was well received. He is following in his Father's footsteps, who became a DJ and set up his own local radio station, and soon enough, Stefano was interested in music and clubbing. Over the years he has worked on several projects including Deependance, Dejavu and Hysteria to name just a few. He has also supported top artists including the likes of Francois K, Smokin Jo, Paul Trouble Anderson and Quentin Harris among others. Stefano focuses on deep tech and house and he is always aiming for an innovative sound in his productions where he can develop his own idea of dance music culture. Great to have him back once again.

‘Fabulous’ opens the release and gets moving right from the off thanks to solid, punchy kicks and shuffling percussions. Soothing chords delight as a plucky, groovy bassline takes control of the track. Diva-style vocals bring the track to a higher level as we get locked into the flow of the infectious groove. Superb stuff, not to be missed. Closing out the release, ‘People’ keeps the party rocking with a fine display of deep house grooves. Stemi’s solid drum arrangement shines as he leads us to the floors with tight patterns. Cool vocals come through adding that clubby vibe, which bond beautifully with the subtle melodic tones. Another fine slice that does not disappoint.
