Mitch Oliver debuts on Sirin Music with 'Nothing Was Left' EP. The rising producer and sound engineer has established a reputation for his personalized blend of deep emotive grooves. You can find Kindisch, Hoomidas Records, When We Dip XYZ and other labels as part of the artist's back catalogue.

'I wrote this EP in the Spring of 2022 with the goal in mind to write music that would better fit into my DJ sets', Mitch says. 'I've been very inspired lately by the raw yet mesmerizing grooves found in minimal and deep tech and wanted to explore that sound a little more while still incorporating my go-to melodic touch.

The track 'Can't Help Myself' started with that simple yet very effective groove, primarily focusing on the drums and the bass and sub-bass. I then met Andrea de Tour, who has such an amazing voice and understanding of underground music. She is a great DJ and has great taste and deep knowledge of electronic music, which really helped the creative process to come up with a song that would have the sensuality of a classic house with a deeper and more profound groove. I'm extremely grateful we met and super excited about the result of our collaboration.

'Nothing Was Left' came to life when I started to jam with this mid-bass synth and came up with a very hypnotic yet catchy rhythmic melody. Some tracks come to life faster than others and this one took only a few sessions as I quickly felt the right emotions and didn't overthink the process and simply let it all out. It has a dark and uplifting energy at the same time and has been doing very well in my DJ sets over the past few months. The voice sample gave me the extra spark I was looking for to wrap the idea, and It solidified the colour I was aiming at while composing the song'.
