No doubt OV would be back on Goldmin sooner or later, this time the man delivers an EP gathering a serious dusty-mechanical-electro-track that has nothing to envy of the greatest Drexciyan cuts, as well as a proper handmade peak-time weapon full of detail, movement and brightness, and finally a more tender and delicate one in which the « beatless » aspect seems to be only an excuse for allowing even more room and options for the arrangement’s sophistication. Progressive and anti-progressive might be a cool definition. It isn’t so easy to follow the path of such a prolific producer as Orlando Voorn, a man capable of making an album each week and an artist who’s constantly going from one thing to the other yet never losing his charism and peculiarity. But it is easy to hear the amount of energy, wizardry and mastery put into every single track of this Ep. Indeed, artists addicted to their art are the ones who sound the best.
