Coming off the back of releases on Lemon Juice Records, Reiki Records, Ribox Records and many more, we welcome Italian talent Mario Iobbi for his label debut with the impressive two-track combo ‘Funk’ EP.

The EP gets underway with ‘Funk’, diving straight into upbeat drums and pulsating sub-bass notes. Its rising musicality blends its way through a tough core of potent kicks and shuffling percussion, leading into breakdowns filled with rippling arps, reverberating vox loops and laser-like FX before punching firmly back onto the groove on several occasions.

‘Get Back’ rounds off the release with another display of weighty rhythm work and charming melodies. Driving drums and crisp hat sequences roll the track forwards through a sea of velvety pads, playful brass riffs, soulful sampling and vox chops as the track rages on from start to finish.
