
Wukah makes his debut on Dealt With Records with his latest piece of work, the jazzy, deep-house, 'Fred Hampton EP'.
Wukah's new EP features two tracks; 'Fred Hampton' and 'Chicago 7'. The EP is prolific with a dark and cinematic atmosphere - including vocal excerpts from over 50 years ago, this transportive work also includes an energy and impetus derived from the his lo-fi, dusty house rhythms. With a penchant for including jazz influences throughout his music, a likeness can be heard akin to the works of Laurence Guy or a young Leon Vynehall.
Utilising his inherent talents as an educator, film composer and music producer, this body of music highlights a particularly poignant moment in history. A highly emotionally charged place in time, the civil rights era, Wukah tells two stories that are thematically linked with the emotive 'Fred Hampton EP' that if not known already, will hopefully enlighten these stories for future generations.s into existence from behind an energy-laden dusty beat with a shimmering symbol and deep sub-bass.
