The debut release from Dogglounge Recordings arrives with the determination to introduce you to its visions of Deep House music. Two very distinct sounds from two distinct producers shows just how versatile the culture of Deep House can be and how we strive to capture it all in our releases.
--------------------------------------------------
First up is the Tech influenced deep servings from Canadian, Jebstone Boppman. Bouncy basslines, stabby vocal cuts, sharp rhythmic chords, chunky percussion and large sweeping pads all encompass what is offered in the first half of this EP.
Slow Start features a distinctive 80s feel with a classic synth bassline inspired form 80s legend, Kashif. A Minor Swing is a low down and dirty deep house groover, with a hard hitting bassline and a rhodes stab that can't help but to make you move.
--------------------------------------------------
The second half of the EP offered up by Chicago's Mocalitic takes a complete 180 and returns to the dark and deep east coast roots. Raw analogue and minimalistic vibes show that Mocalitic is staying true to his local heritage.
Slap A B is a vocal smasher featuring Carol on the vocals, supplying a moody soul grabbing vibe to an already dark and focused minimal deep house track. Straight forward analogue bass, a simple and effective drum programming and perfect percussion all add up to what is a must have in any DJ's collection. This track works so well with everything.
Wasteland douses you in a world of analogue bliss. Atmospheric and vibrant synths make up the soul of this track with a great vocal cut to provide the personality. A no nonsense track that will speak to the true House heads.
