Realm is a collection of four tracks that utilize a variety of analog and digital production techniques and demonstrate Claus' ability to create a cohesive style from a variety of sound sources. The title track "Realm" and "Atmos Schematics", originally written in 2018, are entirely "in the box" and showcase an atmospheric sound that includes an acidic 303 synth line. "Baümer" and "Surge" were originally recorded to tape in a single take via an old Tascam Portastudio in 2017 and were produced and mixed earlier this year. Surge's driving percussion and drums are equally matched by Baümer's sludgy and drone-adjacent sound design. This release is fit for deep listeners and DJs alike.
