Soulvision has the honour to release its first EP from the hand of 4 producers
and sound artists — Dani Alban, Andrés Volta, Quims and SoulVision’s main head,
Julián Álvarez. While presenting the Inner World of each artist, the 4 tracks on the EP
meet the label's demands, creating powerful atmospheres and playful melodies,
mediated by a solid drum machine.
"Cold Water", the first single of the release, is evolving and immersive. With
an acidic melody that guides us throughout, developing an underwater sound and
deep ambience, it is not only worthy of its name, but conforms the perfect track for
any lucid dream. Meanwhile, Quims’ “Last Lap” is a playful combination of
progressive development with minimalistic beats and house rhythms. With a
powerful drum machine, this track is a mature Ode to games and gaming, and brings
out that ludic nature that making music and playing video games both share.
Nonetheless, in Dani Albán’s flawless mixing “Tunnel”, we take a detour to a more
warm atmosphere, driving and surrounding the listeners for an experience over the
top. On the other side, “All of this”, Volta’s single, is a piece charged of subs and
sound, presenting a world of dissonance and strangeness, that keeps a melodic
background to create a track that is hypnotic as well as joyful.
