Now over a quarter of a century deep into its release archive, London based imprint WetYourSelf! Recordings continue to purvey underground music of the highest quality regularly. With the growing success of the imprint, Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley present a carefully handpicked selection of records that were, until now, only available on vinyl.

Opening the release, celebrated Danish artist and one-third of Mandar, S.A.M. delivers an intriguing reshape of Jacob Husley’s ‘So Hot’. Rolling grooves and crisp analogue percussion meet subtle injections of harmony and warped vocal licks to create a swirling roller, perfect for hypnotic late-night minimal sets. Peter Pixel follows with an unreleased gem, offering an exclusive 2022 re-edit of his track ‘Nexcro’. Weighty drums collide with rhythmic sub-bass and endless layers of instrumental sequencing, creating a sea of movement whilst bright synths dot themselves on either side of its gripping intergalactic lead.

Romanian legend Priku sprinkles his unconventional sonic persona across ‘Outcast’. Combining undulating rhythmic components, offbeat fills and shots, tonal percussion and an eerie sub-level of musicality from end to end, he delivers a statement piece - synonymous with his reputation. caLLy’s ‘Laga’ offers an instantly mesmeric and archetypal Rominimal number. A continuous bump and grind of dreamy harmonies and sirenic vocal sweeps, set against a shuffling concoction of punchy drums, dusty hat sequences and a driving bassline.

Jacob Husley finishes off the VA with ‘Hush Hush’, charming you from the outset with a bouncy combination of bass notes, shuffling instrumental factors, tonal toms and rising key lines. A progressively bright and uplifting track with underground connotations from the very beginning, what’s not to love?
