From Across Canada The Group of Seven brings you Summit the second edition of their compilation series. This time around we go a little deeper and darker.
Piri and Raul Vargas combined forces on The Fix a minimal techy track that drives, shuffles and grooves to its own beat while dropping filtered vocal bits to keep you saying ooh ya... Self Medication shows up with something a little more dancey this time, Ookpik a trancy, techy adventure into the complex mind that is Self Medication this on is sure to keep a dancefloor on their toes. Urban Francis drops Fallen Child which also combines techy and trancy elements and layers them into an epic travelling soundscape. Joel West and Son Of Magnus pumped out a techno banger with Sweatbox, groovy undertones with big layered synths and classy builds make this one a shoe in for prime time in the techno room. Sara Scruton takes us to Detroit with In The D, big rolling synths pads and jabs that flow back and forth, side to side and come together ever so eloquently. Sicario (CAN) hits us with the groove and freshness of Musico Sound Boi, a pop'n percussive jam that calls you to the dancefloor, and keeps you there with wooshy sounds and bits of tribal vocals, it's sure to please the most discerning of the house heads. Raul Vargas borrows a little from house, a little bit from techno and chops it all up to serve Con Bono a housy appetizer followed by some beefy tech house grinds.
