(r)umori - II (r)umori is a project by Milan based dj and producer Marco Rigamonti. After a string of eclectic collaborations spanning from the afro-funk of Double Beat (with half of The Dining Rooms Stefano Ghittoni) to the electro-house of The Voidz (together with fellow dj and producer Andrea Bertolini), he then focused on delivering intimate and delicate electro-soul arrangements for Rahma Hafsis dreamy voice (Abbracci Nucleari). In 2020 Marco released his first solo record as (r)umori. A work that not only exhibits his never hidden fondness for slow beats, but also shows the instinct to twist samples and the will to play with (preferably broken) beats. II is the natural evolution of the debut's sound. It walks the fine line between melancholy and hope, resembling poet Filippo Balestra's words in the opener Un Adesso Immenso. It ventures into nervous rhythms and pays homage to old-school breakbeat. It experiments with garage and dubstep contaminations and withdraws in more classical and contemplative tracks. From strongly cinematics tunes to a handful of scratches provided by turntable master Dj Aladyn and an almost ambient digression written for an art installation conceived by italian renowned dj and radio host Alessio Bertallot, it sketches languid and faint sound landscapes, dealing on his own terms with the inevitable on the horizon.
