Humanism is a philosophical strand that places the human being, after the Middle Ages, again as a priority at the center of conversations. After all, if our reality, however subjective it may be, is only guided through our experiences and interpretations, our exposure and our palpability as beings who arrived here in this world without prior notice and signing a specific protocol, it makes sense that we honor the human condition within all its peculiarities.
Dance music brings a little of that: we welcome our common sense and sensorial touch and, for a moment, we close our eyes on a dancefloor and suddenly we are one, a single energy. The "About Humanism" EP exhibits a beautiful sound transposition which expresses happiness, refuge and a sweet nostalgia through the creative minds of the duo GRIFE, from Curtiba, who we welcome proudly to the new release by Words Not Enough.
In two tracks of contrasting but still complementary features, "About Humanism" and "Clear Night Sky", GRIFE brings to surface an arrangement of elements between piano notes, organic house beats and harmonies balanced by ethereal tones, giving space even for the duo HAFT to deliver hypnotic arpeggios to recreate the musical vision of this release's homonymous track.
