Amidst the influx of new music and freshly minted producers online, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the noise. The beauty of Greece's talent George Tsilipakos aka Madd Gee's 'Ibar Chant' is that it does exactly the opposite: silences the noise and provides a clean ethnic sound to its intended audience.

Thanks to label head and peruser Yanik Coen, what started from a SoundCloud discovery transformed into a long distance back and forth studio session, with the duo crafting and remastering the sound that it is today. The record is unique, intense and emotional. The 'Ibar Chant' taps into our sacral roots and ancestral life in the Mediterranean mountains. After a first listen, most of us can agree it deserved a proper official release on Coen's Not Everyone Understands.
