Such a pivotal project for the label as it was our very first release in 2017, AJourneyOfMilez debut album: Unorthodox.
Packed with African stories and great features, local and across the continent - the likes of Tamba featured on "Nkabanyine" sung in Uganda's native language Luganda, Yao featured on "Tate", sung in Kalanga a native language from Botswana, "Amai" sung in Shona from Zimbabwe and so is "Isililo SamaNdebele", a song that travels back in time to the center of the Gukurahundi genocide that almost wiped out the whole of UMthwakazi, otherwise known as the Matabele/Ndebele tribe.
The album also features great singles such as "Thumela" feat. Alexander James which got a release on the Amsterdam Dance Event Album in 2017, "Notice You" feat. Zianda released on Boddhi Satva's Offering Records and went on to chart at the top of Traxsource's AfroHouse chart for consecutive weeks. Also featured on the album are the talented LoveChild, Decency and Sol Stringer.
We are psyched to share with the world once again, the project that started it all.
