ENG"1959" is a concept album dedicated to my father. The main theme is based on my particular perception of travel and movement, which are both narrated with similar and different electronic sounds at the same time. The double vinyl edition is divided into 4 sides entitled "Moon", "Flight", "Space" and "Land". The vocals of some tracks, such as "The Aircraft", were made with fragments of vocal announcements recorded in the airports during my tours. The plane, already featured on the cover of the single "Lux", is interpreted as a mysterious vehicle that travels in space-time. The album cover instead portrays my father's motorcycle, as if it were suspended in the sky during the transition from night to day, which in this case symbolizes the transition from the noise of earthly life to the stillness of eternity. In this new work of mine, I found my Synth-pop, Electro, and Ambient influences, combined with rhythms that lend themselves well both to listening and to the dance floor. Il tema portante è basato sulla mia particolare percezione del viaggio e del movimento, che vengono entrambi narrati con delle sonorità elettroniche affini e diverse al tempo stesso. L’edizione in doppio vinile si suddivide in 4 lati dal titolo “Moon”, “Flight”, “Space” e “Land”. I vocal di alcune tracce, come ad esempio “The Aircraft”, sono stati realizzati con dei frammenti di annunci vocali registrati negli aereoporti durante i miei tour. L’aereo, già raffigurato nella cover del singolo estratto “Lux”, è interpretato come un veicolo misterioso che viaggia nello spazio-tempo. La copertina dell’album ritrae invece la motocicletta di mio padre, come se questa fosse sospesa nel cielo durante il passaggio dalla notte al giorno, che in questo caso simboleggia la transizione dal rumore della vita terrena alla quiete dell’eternità. In questo mio nuovo lavoro ho ritrovato le mie influenze Synth-pop, Electro e Ambient, abbinate assieme a dei ritmi che si prestano bene sia all’ascolto sia al dance floor.
