Peter Van Hoesen returns to his beloved Time To Express label after a consistent string of releases on Center 91. ‘Echoes from Westbrook Bay’ is a six-track EP, showcasing the Belgian producer’s personal take on immersive electronic music.

The EP contains six tracks, focusing on Van Hoesen’s detailed, narrative sound. They all share his trademark intricate sound design, directing the listener’s attention towards multiple layers and events within each composition.

The main body of the EP is focused around four brand new techno tracks, ranging from the light-footed, melodic ‘Allocators’ to the muscular vibes of closing track ‘Block by Block’. ‘Waving not Drowning’ continues to explore Van Hoesen’s recent breakbeat-oriented output on Batu’s Timedance imprint. It’s an abstract drum’n’bass roller, combining a tight rhythmic framework with modulated, shifting FM pads. No massive drops here, it’s all about tension and anticipation.
