The Swiss Label SIRION is proud to present its first Vinyl Release with MASTRA. Music has been at the centre of the Berne based DJs life since childhood years. He is well-known in Switzerland (among others as resident at Q-Club and Via Felsenau) and played gigs at the Tresor in Berlin, Cocoon Club in Frankfurt as well as on the sunny coasts of Brazil. After his release on the Inzec Records Compilation, Mastra celebrated various further productions - such as the “Foyer EP”, also released on Inzec. His latest project is called TRAUMA DUO - an electronic live storm in cooperation with Sandro Ambrosi. In November 2007 a remix of Monduniques “Formbar” came out on Sirion Records (SR008) and on Global Undergrounds compilation series. MASTRA demonstrates quite energetically what his musical skill has to offer on this REMINDED EP. ROKOCIN is a dreamy dance track. Late night or in the early morning hours, it is a track to sink into and be swept away. Blup. With REMINDED he accomplished a groovy/funky song with deep elements, pushing drums, rolling bass and subtle percussions. A well-balanced and convincing dance track. For the digital release we have two further MASTRA tracks available: BRUNCHY - impulsive and relentless - and IMRING - strong and salient REMINDED was remixed by the DJ & producer PAWAS. Based in Deep House, Pawas is known through labels like Spectral or Brut. Pawas was strongly influenced and formed by the percussive and rhythmic ways of his home country India. The traditional tabla drum is one of many instruments which Pawas mastered at an early age. He was able to build many relationships, gained much respect and became quite successful in the Indian clubbing scene as a DJ already at 17yrs old. In 2004 he relocated to Europe and spun his web across the borders of Germany and built his reputation throughout the international DJ-scene. He clearly dedicated a lot of effort into the remix of REMINDED: A fantastic production resulting in an eclectic track with solid planes and a rhythmic base. The mastering is origin of BENFAY, known from his releases on Morris Audio and Stattmusik. He is a member of the renowned DJ- and production trio Round Table Knights.
