Orpheus Rec is back this time with an outstanding EP by Peruvian duo Paul Trelles & Vazdra. These two local talents are no strangers to the Orpheus Fam and to the Limanean scene playing on regular basis on the best clubs around the Peruvian capital. After their single release on the latest Orpheus Mosaics VA vol.2 with ‘Go Back’ it was about time for the duo to release their first solo EP with us.
‘And Then’ is a laid-back deep tech track with bloomy synths and reverse kicks perfect to set up the vibe on the dance floor. ‘Monday’ follows the same line with a bit more uplifting feeling and super heavy sub bass. There is no doubt Paul & Vazdra have found the perfect formula to make you dance with their distinctive sound.
On remix duties Lolu Menayed reshapes ‘And Then’ with functional drum patterns pitching things up a bit and maintaining the deep feeling of the original version. Zenniv reinterpretation of ‘And Then’ is a perfect soundscape that brings a muffled bass line, piano chords and a more subtle vocal game.
