Dreamwave Records kicks things off with its first ever release from Tomás Tomás; a singer, songwriter and producer from New York with his debut single, ‘Elizabeth’. Tomás Tomás’ tracks navigate a fine line: at surface level they typify the sonic exuberance of nu-disco or bedroom-pop, with dreamy vocals and plush synths ever present, but they are underlaid with sober, introspective lyrics addressing problems both wholly unique and universally understood. ‘Elizabeth’ is the first chapter to the story of his past year, depicting the lifestyle of being a newcomer to the art scene in NYC, and the pressure that comes with it both psychologically and physiologically.
