Oh Henry! Oh Hako!

One of the aspects we love the most about running a record label is the amazing relationships we build and get to watch grow, that is especially true with Hako.

Hako has been up to some cool projects and we're more than happy to have him in something purple again, it is a lovely colour on him if I do say so myself.

This EP is Hako in a nutshell, full of surprises.

With 'Take Your Time' Hako collaborated with the incredibly talented Ida Flo, giving this deeper more soulful track a housier side to Hako than we have seen in the past, without losing any pace or groove that were used to with Hako. This track is a joy to listen to and can be used to speed things up or slow things down, which on its own is no easy feat to accomplish. The powerful vocal accompanied by the beautiful chords, chugging drums and percussions, gives this track multiple personalities, each better than the last.

'Prison Talk' is an absolute class act. This track is quirky just like its father. First, it has this upbeat and very catchy bassline, then you hear the tech-house motifs that bounce around giving it more urgency, pair those two with a mint top-line, and when all three come to a head on the drop it's bound to make the dance floor bounce. Also, it stands as a great PSA to the youths out there.

Be safe, keep a distance, keep your nose clean, don't look for no wreck, stay in touch with your loved ones, take your time, and the next time you feel frustrated with being inside, remember that's prison talk.
