Voodoo Sonic

Parov Stelar

Etage Noir Recordings
EN083 | 2020-04-24
With the Voodoo Sonic Trilogy Parov Stelar has found the key of how to keep up with the fast-paced music world of today. The idea to release several EPs in shorter intervals instead of one album was born and makes it possible to celebrate Parov Stelar's diverse sound world in all of its facets. Nevertheless, it's not to be seen as a blueprint, but rather as an active work show. From the art studio to the recording studio, on to the dance floor in the form of art and beats.

Brass Devil fits seamlessly into Parov Stelar's trophy cabinet. Like hot, liquid lava, the Brass Devil beats find a way up from the depths. The energy bubbles under the surface until absolute dance ecstasy. The first song from Voodoo Sonic Part 2 is a Parov Stelar classic without ifs and buts and one can already be excited about the live performance.

Piano Boy convinces through the original, the familiar - a thoroughly honest sound by Parov Stelar that enchants and reminds us of the times of "Shine" and "Coco".

Don't You Forget has already proven potential to be an insider hit during the first part of the Voodoo Sonic Tour. Thousands of concertgoers have already heard Don't You Forget as the intro of the show and countless of requests about it followed. Now - the studio version - interpreted by Lilja Bloom and Anduze -
is finally here. With Don't You Forget Parov Stelar shows again that he doesn't set any limits to his sound. What's important is the result. And that's convincing. "You are what you hear," says writer Jeong Won Sin. That's what you experience when you hear Don't You Forget for the first time. The song is captivating from the first to the last second. A cinematic introduction, strong lyrics, a chorus that stays in your head for days.
"Don't let me forget, Stay on my mind, yeah"

Fade To Red ft. Esches touches the soul like love at first sight. The deep, epic beats and the voice of Rob Summerfield get under your skin and give room for emotions.

The last track of Voodoo Sonic Part 2 Come Back Home is dedicated to Electro Blues and completes the whole work. This track can also be heard in the current live set of the Voodoo Sonic Tour.

The icing on the cake will be the Voodoo Sonic documentary, which will be broadcasted on European TV stations this year.

If you want to see Parov Stelar live, you will get the chance in summer 2020. He and his band will go on an extensive festival tour across Europe, at least if we can leave the Corona pandemic behind us until then.

His two shows at the Vienna Konzerthaus in September were sold out in no time.
