Hailing from Manchester, a town which symbolizes the blend of guitars and machines,
Siskid had a classical musical education before making his first steps on the rock and electronic scene.
He is known for his dark and melancholic sounds, and upbeat rhythms.
With gigs and festivals under his belt such as Wire, Oxygen, and Sonar (and many more...), former guitarist of BLACKSTROBE, and residencies at renowned spots such as Rex Club in Paris, Siskid isn't shy about sharing his talents
His releases under the pseudonym Siskid on Initial Cuts to date,
include « Clean Breakfast », « Hummer », « The Architect », and « She has reasonable doubts »
are as many dance floor hits which found their way into the record boxes of such artists as
Michael Mayer, Chloe, Laurent Garnier, The Hacker, Agoria, DJ Hell and Tiefschwarz,
to name a few
He was solicited by Scratch Massive to remix « Dance » which featured on their second album« Time »
Until recently he was also the lead guitar, bass and keyboard artist during the live performances and recording sessions of the band Blackstrobe (Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini).
The outcome was the album « Burn your own Church » which was recorded in London with producer Paul Epworth (Block Party, Maximo Park), mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, My Bloody Valentine, Marilyn Manson), released on Beggars Banquet in June 2007.
He has now moved on, and together with artist, Remain, a close friend, And has created « Meant Records », an independent record label, which will shortly be releasing his new Siskid electronic titles and other projects.
His new Siskid,« Wolves » EP, which features huge remixes by REMAIN and CHLOE, will be released on June,15th on Meant Records!
