ACEN 002 is the sophomore release from South London producer Holloway (I can see a pattern emerging here), taking the form of two cuts that are darker than his All Centre label mate Simkin. This composite offering from Holloway encapsulates the producers diplomatic, yet tentative approach to creating tracks that tear up the dance floor.

A side Agar Oud blends heady synths with a heavy beat and bouncing percussion to deliver a track that will become a staple in any Djs arsenal. An arpeggiated squelching synth enters the fray half way through, leading the charge into the tracks breakdown and beyond.

B side Gubbins is an elaborate club tool that can be used in any situation, combining atmospheric swells with a choppy broken beat designed to take the dance floor to dizzying heights. Big Beats are the best, and Holloway knows it.
