Lead track, aptly entitled „Funky Phasor“, rolls along with a gorgeous‚ funky bass-line, progressively builds, whilst hypnotic phasor loops throughout will cause a frenzy on dance floors, for sure! „Berlin Spring“ on the other hand, is more direct in it’s approach, dark, mysterious, rolling bass-lines and synth stabs, perfect for peak time moments. In support, „Secret Place“, Hausdorf lays down a staggered drum pattern, that eases into some dub-inspired synth and pads, with cross over appeal. Born in 1978 in East-Berlin, David Hausdorf trained as a classical musician from the age of 6 years old, eventually leading him to playing in the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. It was during the mid 90’s where Hausdorf discovered his passion for Detroit- and Dub-Techno, previously been strongly influenced by the innovative sound at Berlin’s Techno Club Tresor he published his first Record in 1998 on Synaptic Waves, followed by releases on Müller Records, Salo, Lifetime Music and Styrax Leaves. Particular attention was drawn to the publication of „Bamboo“ in 1999 (SyWa09) and „untitled“ in 2006 (Styrax Leaves 07). His tracks appeared on compliations such as François K’s „Masterpiece“ or Thomas Schumacher’s „Si-Fi 4.4“. David Hausdorf played Live- and DJ-Sets at Tresor, Ostgut and different clubs in Berlin and Germany.
