The 1ibear boasts a collective of inspired rare groove musicians with their finger on the pulse of Britain's urban soul and funk movement. At the songwriting and performing heart of The 1iBear lies guitarist Simon Bartholomew (Brand New Heavies,Jamaroquai), vocalist Aurora Dawn (Roots Manuva,Basement jaxx,Alabama 3), on drums Ian McKenzie(Dub Conspiracy), bass guitarist Nick Seymour (Akimbo).
Urban soul rebels they have been described ... Vocalist Aurora Dawn has presence oozing out of her pores with her energetic displays and rapport with the crowd, mixing up the soul and adding just a little touch of ragga. Guitarist Simon Bartholomew,complete with disco frilled shirt and silk scarf with bass guitarist Nick Seymour and Mr Mckenzie,smashing it up on drums,are no less dynamic... with beats that are smooth as they come...produced by the infamous Factor 60 watchout cos they come with the riddem attack!
Their first release on Feelin Music is the slammin’ new track ‘YOU!’ featuring the wicked vocal talents of Aurora Dawn backed up with Ian Mckenzie on drums, Simon Bartholomew on guitar and Nick Seymour on bass!
The vocal mix gives you the full 1iBear flavour with each of the band’s members showcasing their abilities to the max and really showing why they’ve been dubbed URBAN SOUL REBELS!
On the flip the dub brings you same phat bassline and killer percussion but with some added surprises for good measure.
And for those that like it instrumental we’ve added this to the already bulging package too.
